A 63-year-old woman who was eating calamari with raw squid became ‘pregnant’ with 12 baby squids in her mouth, after she claimed to feel a sharp pain after biting into the squid.
After being examined by doctors, the doctors claimed that “baby cephalopods” were stuck to her gums, tongue and cheeks, the cephalopods contained “ejaculatory apparatus” and sperm, which were later identified as “squid spermatophores.”
These type of incidents involving the impregnation of human mouths seems to be more common in the Eastern World, where raw fish are eaten regularly, when squid is served in the Western World, the internal organs are removed and there is no risk of eating spermatophores, that cause the impregnation.
