Deputies: Pair Steals CDs, Finds Child Porn - Sacramento News Story - KCRA

Kraig Stockard, 54, said he had several items stolen from his barn Sept. 12, according to the news release issued Tuesday by the Merced County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies said a juvenile and a 19-year-old who broke in and stole the CDs -- about 50 of them, thinking they were blank -- and later brought them home.
When the pair asked a family member to upload some music onto the discs, the relative popped in one of the CDs and discovered the child pornography, deputies said.
The finding prompted the pair to contact the Sheriff's Department and explain the situation, according to the news release. Deputies then checked all the stolen CDs and found more than 30 of them contained child porn images, they said.
Merced sheriff's detectives paired with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the High Tech Crimes Task Force to serve a search warrant in the 13000 block of El Capitan Way, where Stockard lives, according to deputies.
Once inside the property, officials took three computers, three laptops and several external hard drives, the release says.
Investigators said they aren't sure yet how much child pornography Stockard had in his possession but said on his CDs alone they found thousands of photos and videos.
The Sheriff's Department said Stockard has admitted to possessing the porn, which officials say he has been downloading since 2004.
Stockard posted $25,000 bond and will face child pornography charges.
The burglary suspects' case was sent to the District Attorney's Office. They were not arrested.

Salma Hayek: 'I'm Nobody's Barbie'

Just because Salma Hayek is married to a powerful businessman doesn't mean she's given up her independence.
"I work hard, I make my own living and I love it. I like having financial independence," Hayek says in the November issue of Redbook. "I don't ever want to have to depend on anyone completely. But when I have troubles sometimes, it's nice to have someone there to help."
Luckily, Hayek can rely on her husband, French billionaire François-Henri Pinault, if need be. Has being married to the CEO of luxury goods firm PPR (which owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent) influenced her style?
"I like to play fashion with him, but I'm nobody's Barbie," Hayek, 45, says.
One huge influence in her life has been her 4-year-old daughter Valentina Paloma. The actress says she chose to star in the upcoming animated feature Puss in Boots because she wanted to make a movie her daughter could see. While motherhood has had an impact on her career choices, Hayek isn't shying away from provocative roles.
"I'm playing the queen of a drug cartel in an Oliver Stone film," says Hayek. "He asked if I'd gone 'all soft' because I'm a mother. I said, 'Yes, but I can be the devil if I need to, because after all, I'm an actress.' "

Uncle Luke Revoking Lil Wayne, Dj Khaled and P. Diddys Miami Card.

Lil Wayne And DJ Khaled Are Gonna Lose Their Miami Residency - Miami News - Riptide 2.0
Uncle Luke, the man whose booty-shaking madness once made the U.S. Supreme Court stand up for free speech, gets as nasty as he wants to be for Miami New Times. This week, Luke doesn't like how Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled use Miami but don't give back to the Magic City.
I've got a message for Lil Wayne, his Cash Money Brothers, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all the rappers from other parts of the country who now live in Miami. I'm tired of seeing these cats using up our beaches, soaking up our sunshine, taking over the nightclubs, and sleeping with our women without investing anything into the community. I want to know when Lil Wayne is going to do more than show up courtside at the American Airlines Arena. Hell, it's not like he paid for them anyway. You know he got comped.
This free loading and mooching of my city has got to stop. There used to be a day when out of town rappers were scared to throw their weight around Miami. It didn't matter if they were coming from New York or Los Angeles, they knew better than to act like they owned this mother fu*ker.
Artists knew better than to come to Miami and disrespect us.But now folks in Miami's entertainment industry have gone soft, turning into a bunch of groupies just because they want to say they drank Rozay with the Cash Money crew.
Just cause Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled are from New Orleans doesn't mean they don't have to be a part of the community. They're getting rich under fun and sun. They rap in their songs about King of Diamonds and LIV nightclub, where Lil Wayne was partying it up with Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks after they beat the Miami Heat for the NBA championship.
What kind of sell-out move is that? I want to see Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Puff Daddy and all their boys start doing more for Miami. I want to see them doing fundraisers to help youth sports and after school programs. I want to see them at FCAT rallies. I want to see them do like Pitbull who works closely with the Kiwanis Club in Little Havana and DJ Irie who puts on a charity weekend for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
I'm giving them a deadline. They got until January 1. If I don't see them giving back to the Magic City, I'm gonna have their Miami cards revoked. They won't be getting into any more nightclubs. They won't be able to go near our women. And Lil Wayne is gonna have to find floor seats for New Orleans Hornets home games because he won't be allowed inside the Triple A.
